ArtUSA Acousti-Wall Installation Guide for Noise and Sound Control Panels

ArtUSA Acousti Wall Panels have a lightweight foam core and are simple to install with a wide range of methods. The panels attach in seconds to existing, clean surfaces. Choose from the mounting options below.

Foam Adhesive installation:

adhesive

Clean wall surface.

Apply 1/4" bead of adhesive
around panel perimeter on
the fiberglass edge.

Apply a 1/4" bead from corner to corner through the center to create an "X."

Press panel to surface for 5 seconds

Pull the panel away for approximately 1 minute to allow adhesive to become tacky.

Firmly press panel back into position.

AcouSTIC adhesive (part number PA-02) is a non-toxic, water-based adhesive that cleans up with soap and water. Each 10.5 ounce tube installs approximately 32 square feet of product. Tubes fit standard caulking guns or can be used with ArtUSA’s applicator gun.

Hook & Loop Fastener Installation:

Concealed Spline Installation:

Z Clip Installation:
Acousti-z-Clip Installation Before shipment, special Z clips are mounted to the back of the panel. Corresponding wall clips or wall bars are installed on the wall at the appropriate location to allow attachment of the panel.

Impaling Clips:
Note: In the pictures below, the adhesive necessary for permanent installation is not shown. Put a bead of PSA-29 panel adhesive around the perimeter of the back of the panel – approx ¼” bead, as well as a few locations on the back of the panel that will touch the wall between the impaling clips.

Glue or screw impaling clip to the wall and allow to dry completely. Align panel and impaling clips so that impaling clip touches the fiberglass rather than the fabric wrapped around the back of the panel. Begin to press impaling clips into the back of the panel. Press panel all the way onto the impaling clip so the panel is touching the wall making sure that the panel is pressed completely on to each of the impaling clips.

Mechanical Clips (ie. E.C. clips / E.Z. Clips)

Wall bars attaches to wall with standard screws (not shown) provided by others. Panel clips will be adhered into the back of the panel with epoxy as needed during production. Wall Bar and panel clip slide together to support the weight of the acoustical panel.
